Occupation: Moorfield Storey was a lawyer, publicist, and civil rights leader. He was also the president of the Anti-Imperialist League.
Position: Moorfield Storey is largly the against annexing the Philippines into the United States custody. His goal in the latter stages of his life were all geared toward ending imperialism from the United States. He was present at the first anti-imperialist meetings held in Boston and also was the vice president of the New England Anti-Imperialist League. He also was the president of the national Anti-Imperialist League from 1905-1921. Mr. Storey was so upset about the way the Filipinos were being treated during the Philippine-American WAr that he wrote a book on the war crimes commited by the United States. So naturally Mr. Storey is opposed to the annexation of the Philippines into America for fear of the continuation of unfair and inhuman acts.
